About David O'Connor

I’m David O’Connor, a Hampstead-based personal trainer working with busy professionals over 40 who want to feel stronger, leaner, and more confident in their bodies.After years of working in gym environments, I noticed the same pattern repeatedly — people training hard, but not always training intelligently. Many were pushing through pain, accumulating injuries, or burning out rather than building strength that actually supported their lives.

 

My Training Philosophy

My approach to training has also been shaped by my own experiences with injury, including a meniscus tear and shoulder impingement. Going through that process first hand gave me a much deeper understanding of how important good movement, posture, mobility, and intelligent load management really are.

 

Those experiences helped define what longevity training truly means — not just training to look fit now, but training in a way that protects your joints, supports long-term health, and allows you to keep moving well as the years go on.

Today, I specialise in strength training, fat loss, and longevity-focused coaching for over-40s. I also work extensively with clients returning to training after injury, helping them rebuild strength safely, improve movement quality, and regain confidence without fear of setbacks.
